Join DEC to explore the world of sportfishing and crabbing at Corey Beach Pier in Corey’s Creek on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Participants will learn basic fishing and crabbing techniques and learn about the ecology and stewardship of local aquatic habitats, fish and crab identification, regulations, casting safety and more!

Gear for participants: Borrow a fishing rod / crab pot or bring your own. Bait will also be available.

Target audience: All

Pre-registration and a freshwater fishing license or recreational marine fishing registration are not required to participate in this free fishing and crabbing clinic.
